Community Activities

  • St Scholastica Cheerleading Clinic is on Saturday, November 18 for boys and girls in grades k-8.  No experience is needed.  Please see flyer for more information.

  • 2018 Twin Ports Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Mass Choir Rehearsals are open to all.  “Birth of a New Nation” with Guest Clinician:  Mr. Johnny Barker from St. Louis, Missouri.  October 16-20 at 6pm at Peace United Church of Christ, 1111 North 11 Avenue E.  For More Information email:

  • Mommy, Me and SWE will be on Saturday, November 11th.  This event is for girls in grades 1-3 and their moms (or other female guardian/family member) and will provide an opportunity for young girls to learn about engineering. Through the course of the event, girls and moms will have the opportunity to engineer projects together. For a portion of the event, the girls will work on a project together with the SWE members while moms learn more about ways to encourage and grow their daughter’s interests in STEM through their later elementary and middle school years. Cost is $5 per child to help cover activity materials. Please see flyer for more information.

  • UMD Homecoming is on Saturday, October 21.  There will be a parade and family carnival.  Please see flyer for more information.
  • Deep Water Music offers lessons in guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, and more.  Please see flyer for more information.
  • East Select Soccer is having tryouts for their summer 2018 session on October 8 and 15 at Duluth East High School.  Please see flyer for more information.
  • Duluth Amateur Hockey Association has lessons, camps, and rinks around the city.  Please see flyer for more information.
  • Registration for the 2017-2018 hockey season is now open! Open to children 3 to 11-years of age, beginners to advanced skaters. Children who live in the Congdon Park, Hidden Valley, Lower Chester, Park Point, and East Hillside neighborhoods may register to play with the Congdon Park Hockey Club.   • Duluth Public Library offers programs for kids and teens!
